Well, on my lunch break, I took a hike over to the public library, and discovered that they had a wide selection of new Science Fiction novels that I hadn't read yet. I ended up getting three off the new release stack, and one from the general stack, which was the book I actually went there to grab.
The new release stacks ones are:
- The Rosetta Codex by Richard Paul Russo
- Titan by Ben Bova
- Odyssey by Jack McDevitt
The Bova and McCraffrey novels I grabbed based on authorial name recognition. The other two, I grabbed because the blurbs interested me. Which, as always, shows the power of a good blurb (yes, I'm still annoyed by the lack of a blurb on The Deathly Hallows).
I'll start reading these things this evening, so expect the first reviews to be up in the next couple of days.
I also hope to get the review for The Last Mimsy written tonight. Then, I want to try and get my hands on a copy of Niven's Ring World series of books. Unfortunately, I fear they may be out of print.
