Monday Morning Rambling

It is yet another Monday morning, yet this morning is a beautiful day off from work. Glorious days, holidays. Unfortunately, for my sci-fi desires, USA or TNT or one of those channels is having one of their usual "hey-it's-a-holiday" Law And Order marathons. So, that means that we probably won't be having an all day love fest of odd and arcane science fiction movies. Alas, it's still all good, even if I don't get to watch the miniseries V.

But that's OK, after all, my wife gets to be more and more of a geek everyday. In fact, she made me inordinately proud of her the geek-knowledge just the other day. An episode of Nip/Tuck was on the TV, and their was a guest star. His voice sounded very familiar, but I was having a hard time placing it. So, I turned to my wife and asked, "Who is that?"

Without looking up from the laptop, she responded: "Dr. Flox."

Now, you can see why I'm so proud of my wife. My next task is to convince her to start watching anime's.

Though, I'm not holding my breath for that.

I do have some good news for those that like my reviews, I have checked out Cory Doctorow's Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town. I'm not very far into it, but what I've read so far is really good, more on that once I actually finished. Additionally, I'll be posting my review of Inferno sometime this week. It is currently up over at TheForce.Net books section, but I will be sticking it up here as well.

Some bad news on the review front is that I didn't get the reviews written for Titan or The Rosetta Codex before my wife took those books back to the library. And that's what I get for procrastinating, I guess. Unless, I can blame my wife for being a bit to efficient....

Oh well, tonight is another AniMonday so expect a report on Noein and Tokko tomorrow as usual. Other Anime bits of interest is that IdolMaster Xenoglossia is almost over, so we should get a review for that as an overall series soon. Dennou Coil is still going strong, and I'm not sure if it's a 13 or 26 episode series. Regardless, it's great fun. Zombie Loan is quite amusing, and I think I'll be keeping up with that series. Finally, Code-E, I'm still hesitant on saying yeah or nay for, so I'm watching it via a default setting. It has some interesting concepts and an OK story, but the character designs kind of suck.

That's all my rambling for today, hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day.
